Our existance neccessitates there being a first Cause. One may argue about the nature and specific identity of this first Cause, but the self evident, bare and plain fact remains that SOMETHING DOES NOT COME FROM NOTHING. This is the essential understanding which underpins deism. It is to the only One without cause that the universe owes itself to.
